The Star (Christchurch), acquired by Allied Press last year, won best community involvement and best campaign.
Former Mountain Scene sales manager Emma McDermott won best senior sales professional, and Christchurch photographer Martin Hunter was named best senior photographer for his portfolio of work in The Star.
Mountain Scene was runner-up to The Beacon (Whakatane) for the Frank Veale Memorial Award for best community newspaper, while Star Media title Kiwi Gardener was named best magazine.
