On the Move: Law firm opens in resort

Law firm Wynn Williams has opened  its newest office in Queenstown.
Led by partner Alice Balme, who was previously in-house general counsel with Queenstown Lakes District Council for five years, the team will initially have a local government, environmental and commercial property focus.
Wynn Williams’ office is in the Te Nuku Building in Ballarat St.
Long-standing  South Port  director Thomas Foggo has stepped down after 18 years.
During his  tenure, he  served as deputy chair and was the inaugural and current  chairman of the board’s health and safety committee. Professional director Michelle Henderson was elected to the board at its  annual meeting last week.
Gene Dower  has been appointed chief technology officer at Scannable.
Mr Dower joined the Wanaka-based company late last month from restaurant marketing company First Table, where he was lead developer for about four years.  Prior to that, he worked at  various technology companies in Auckland. King Country farmer Anna Nelson is as a new board-appointed farmer director to  Silver Fern Farms Co-operative. She runs a 1450ha breeding
and finishing block in Aria with husband Blair  and in-laws Jon and Kaye Nelson.
Originally from Cheviot, she has a veterinary degree from Massey University. As well as 10 years at a vet practice in central Waikato, she has also been an associate director at Beef+Lamb New Zealand and is a catchment co-ordinator at King Country River Care.
Rural bankers Rabobank New Zealand has opened a new office in Gore.
The new building, in Main St,  had been under construction for 12 months. About 14 people work   in the  branch.
Southland man Mack McLean has been appointed the chief executive of SBS Group, following the resignation of Shaun Drylie.
Mr McLean has been with SBS for more than 10 years, holding multiple roles as chief risk officer, acting interim chief executive, most recently general manager member experience.
Mr McLean  is also on the board of SBS’s subsidiary company, Finance Now.
Clothing store Dangerfield has opened in Dunedin’s Meridian Mall. Established in Melbourne in 1986, it is an alternative fashion brand influenced by youth culture.
