Vodafone is today launching its new television service, which is available only with a 12- or 24-month Vodafone Unlimited Fibre or Fibre X plan, from $139.99 a month.
Vodafone TV consoles are available from today to take home, plug in and use.
Vodafone last month announced it was teaming up with Sky Network TV, free-to-air and a range of online and app-based entertainment to bring together one easy-to-use system.
Vodafone consumer director Matt Williams said customer response from those who had seen Vodafone TV had been good.
Vodafone TV simplified everything for the customer by delivering a range of local and international content, all in one place and with simple features to make viewing easy.
It featured catch-functionality delivered direct from the cloud, so customers could watch shows they had missed over the previous three days, he said.
Vodafone TV gave viewers the option to switch between their smartphone, tablet and television, With some of the content, viewers had the ability to stop what they were watching on TV, pick it up on their smartphone and continue watching after they had left the house, Mr Williams said.
Customers had the option to add premium content choices such as Sky Sport, SoHo and Sky Movies and with Vodafone TV, they would not require a Sky satellite dish.
