There is no place like home for Wanaka lawyer Ben King.

Mr King (38), who was recently named as the Queenstown law firm Todd and Walker Law’s first Wanaka-based partner, was brought up in Wanaka, as was his father. His grandmother still lives there.

He described it as a privilege to be able to return to Wanaka and have both a professional career and be able to progress it, while enjoying what the town and its environs had to offer.

Mr King, who specialised in conveyancing, property development and commercial law, headed a team of five staff, complementing the 24-strong staff at the Queenstown office.

Todd and Walker Law co-founder Graeme Todd said the firm had big plans for the Wanaka office.

“We see Wanaka as an integral part of the future of our region, and we have invested heavily to establish an office and grow our team here.’’
