Central Otago author Kyle Mewburn brings us the tale of Flit, a bird who dreams of experiencing a white Christmas.

One year, instead of flying off to warmer weather with his flock, Flit flies north.

His plans for the perfect Christmas are repeatedly thwarted because of his generosity, and things start to look grim, but everything eventually turns out just chirpy.

There seem to be a lot of messages going on here. Ages 3-4.
