The secret to Elle MacPherson's supermodel physique is a 20-minute daily workout and a thumbs-down to calorie counting, says her trainer.

James Duigan, friend and fitness adviser to the 47-year-old Australian beauty, has spoken of Elle's "everything in moderation" attitude which keeps the mother-of-two in shape.

"My approach doesn't involve calorie counting or spending hours in the gym," Duigan has told Shape magazine.

"Exercise is there to make you feel better, but to be constantly exhausted is not what it's about."

Duigan is the creator of the Clean and Lean diet which has become popular among stars including former Neighbours star Holly Valance and singer Cheryl Cole.
