Police will not pursue a criminal vandalism case against Jessica Alba over posters that were plastered around downtown Oklahoma City.

Police said none of the owners of property on which the posters were placed wanted to press charges against the actress, who has apologised.

Police found the posters - aimed at raising awareness about sharks' declining numbers - glued to a bridge, utility boxes and a billboard for a charity.

Video footage posted on the internet had shown Alba posting them.
