Son Little. Things I Forgot.
Son Little. Things I Forgot.
Los Angeles-born Son Little (aka Aaron Livingston) debuts with a six-track EP that paints him as a respectful student of blues and soul, majoring in contemporary translation.

Opener The River is a robust Black Keys-style blues-rocker, while on Your Love Will Blow Me Away When My Heart Aches the pace slows to a lazy trip-hop, creating room for Little's chalky vocal to shine.

Cross My Heart, revised later in a dub remix by RJD2, is the EP's slow-grooving centrepiece and proof of Little's capacity to bring fresh ideas to soul music while honouring the past.
