Her spokeswoman, Cheryl Maisel says Beckham will appear on one episode of the top-rated Fox show, which begins its new season in January. Maisel didn't give further details on Beckham's appearance.
Beckham's manager is "American Idol" creator Simon Fuller. The 35-year-old Posh Spice of the Spice Girls is married to football star David Beckham.
Earlier this week, Paula Abdul announced she was leaving "Idol" after eight seasons as a judge on the show.
