nu is responding directly to the very real and prolonged stressors we have been experiencing since the inception and effects of COVID have hit home. Although stress is a very natural and useful response in acute or short-term scenarios, it is unhelpful for our health and wellbeing over a prolonged period. Along with compromising our physical health and mental wellbeing, it also alters our capacity to respond to challenges from a steady place.
It’s time to recalibrate.
Our classes are designed to be accessible to all levels and vary according to the time of day and the teacher. Experienced yogis can reconnect with the solid foundation of their practice, while the uninitiated can experience the benefits of moving, developing strength and flexibility while easing their nervous systems. We emphasise the rest portions of our classes and timetable specifically to enable subtle but profound support for your mind and body by neutralising the stress response and recharging the batteries burnt out from fatigue.

nu offers a two-week all access introductory pass for just $40 to enable new students to try out the classes and teachers. Casual, monthly and annual passes are also available, as well as concession prices.
Our six-week Beginners Course with Jude Mahood starts on Saturday 5 March and is a great way for those new to yoga to get an understanding of the principles of the practices we teach and how to apply them to their body. It includes a free introductory pass on completion of the course to give you the opportunity to experience the smorgasbord of classes we have on offer and put your new skills and ideas into practice.
If you’ve ever felt intimidated by yoga, lycra, or the fear of not being flexible enough, we would love to see you!
nu yoga studio classes start on Thursday 24 February 2022. See the timetable here.
