Southern DHB and WellSouth Primary Health Network have embarked on a bold journey that will transform how healthcare services are delivered in Otago and Southland.
Developed with input from across the community, our new Primary and Community Care Strategy and Action Plan has been launched through public meetings across the district.
You can make submissions until Wednesday 28 February. Please email strategy@southerndhb.govt.nz.
We appreciate the encouraging and thoughtful feedback already provided by patients, families, whanau, health professionals and other members of our community.

Our aim is to make primary and community healthcare services across the district easier to access, and to better enable healthcare providers to work together and have more time and flexibility to care for patients.
We also want to support people to manage their own health and wellbeing, and make use of technology, including telehealth and electronic health records, should they wish to. This means people will be better able to access and understand their healthcare information, wherever they live.
The information here will provide you with the key features of our vision for healthcare services in the future. More information is available at southerndhb.govt.nz and your feedback is welcome.
