Teen charged after Perth siege

A 15-year-old boy has been taken charged with firearm offences after a two-hour siege at a semi-rural property in Perth's northeast.

West Australian police alleged the boy armed himself about 9am (WST) on Wednesday with a firearm and made threats to harm himself and others at a property in Harling Way, Bullsbrook.

Tactical Response Group officers took the boy into custody without incident by about 11am WST.

The boy has been charged with being an unlicensed person possessing a firearm and ammunition and being armed in a way that may cause fear.

Police said he would be medically assessed and his court date was yet to be finalised.

Nearby schools were locked down as a precaution during the siege.
