‘Biggest and best’ science festival announced

Programme to entertain ... New Zealand International Science Festival director Dan Hendra and festival executive committee president Bridget Irving announced the "massive" line-up of events in the festival’s programme this year, during an event at Petridish cafe, in Dunedin yesterday.

The programme includes details of more than 100 events to be held in the city from July 8 to 18.

Mr Hendra said the event had received remarkable support from the community.

‘‘It means that we have been able to expand the scope of what the festival can be, and turn it into a world-class science festival, up there with the world’s biggest and best.’’
