The southbound lane of Dunedin’s Southern Motorway was brought to a standstill about 3.30pm yesterday after a crash involving five cars.
No-one was injured as a result but the arterial road was closed following the crash, police said.
A police spokesman said the road was cleared and reopened to both lanes at 4.30pm.
Another accident occurred on an on-ramp of the southbound lane about 1km north of the first incident.
