Port Chalmers United Rowing Club held its annual art auction at Carey's Bay Historic Hotel yesterday.
Seventy-four of the 95 works sold, with the highest price $2150 for Lindsay Crooks' oil Carey's Bay.
Club treasurer Faye Forgie said last night the final amount from the auction was still being tallied, but the club was thrilled with the support, given the number of events on in the city and the effect of the Christchurch earthquakes on other fundraising events.
