Vomit, glass bottles and food packaging were among the rubbish left behind after a large student party in the Dunedin Botanic Garden on Saturday.
Dunedin City Council communications and marketing manager Graham McKerracher said about five of those responsible were brought back to the scene of the party and cleaned up most of the mess on Sunday.
However, one staff member spent one and a-half hours picking up bottle tops, cans and bottles left behind in nearby bush areas as a resultof the party, which police said involved 100 students.
This comes after a camera used to record wildlife in the garden was stolen from high up a tree the previous Saturday.
The camera cost $350 plus an extra $180 for it to be installed by an arborist.
