Swimmers enjoying an early dip at Dunedin's St Clair Hot Salt Water Pool are treated to a spectacular sunrise yesterday.
Dunedin woman Kim Storey, wearing her swimming hat, togs and a dressing gown, was the first swimmer through the door at 6am on the opening day of the season.
A self-confessed early riser, she had already walked her dog for 50 minutes before catching up with St Clair swimming friends as they waited for the doors to open.
She usually swam five or six days a week during the season.
