Otago Polytechnic fashion design student Philippa Ensor creates a sustainability-themed installation inside the Otago Polytechnic's Dunedin design school.

The "autumn forest and sustainable back yard" exhibit is being housed inside the polytechnic's design school this week as part of a collaborative project by third-year students.

Interactive installations set up on the third, fourth and fifth floors of the polytechnic's design building are open for public viewing from 9.30am to noon today.

The exhibition gave final-year design students majoring in four different disciplines - fashion, communication, product and interior - a chance to work together.

It was marketed as a design school open week titled "Story Senses Style" and comprised work created in the past month.
