Tradesmen are urged to note the serial number of their tools following a spate of burglaries targeting Dunedin construction sites.
In the latest burglary, more than $4000 of tools were taken from a Queen St home undergoing renovations.
Sergeant Chris George, of Dunedin, said the latest incident occurred between February 5 and 8, and anyone with information was urged to contact police.
The burglary was the latest in a series of smaller thefts targeting construction sites, and served as a reminder for tradesmen to record serial numbers of their tools, to assist police in their investigations, he said.
Members of the public noticing suspicious activity around homes being constructed or renovated were urged to report their concerns to police.
