Car fire at Dunedin service station

A car on fire at a Dunedin service station this afternoon prompted a call-out from Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

A FENZ spokeswoman said it was called to the scene in Cumberland St about 2.32pm.

An appliance from Dunedin Central attended, but on arrival found the fire had been extinguished.

A crew ensured the fire was completely out.

The cause was unknown, she said.
