The erection of the tower cranes is a multi-day process, although appears to be progressing quite fast.
The arrival of the three large-scale cranes on the site late last week marked a major milestone for the project, Health Minister Simeon Brown said.
The cranes mean the project is transitioning from foundation works into the main vertical construction phase.
The nearly $2 billion project at present requires about 40 workers on site each day, with that number expected to increase to about 80 in the coming weeks.
The 11-storey inpatient building is the largest phase of the new hospital and is expected to be complete in late 2031.
