Warnings after Dunedin drug raids

A haul of cannabis was seized during two police raids in Dunedin yesterday.

Eleven medium-sized plants and utensils were seized during the first raid in Tahuna, while the second raid in Opoho netted three medium-sized plants, five seedlings, and utensils.

Acting Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond said four people were given warnings.

A haul like that being taken by the police means that the users and sellers are breaking the law. Let's not change the law and make it easier for them to get supply more freely and easily and trade it for profit, to diversify, to make harder forms of the drug by concentrating the THC, selling it to minors or to those who sell it to minors...etc. Drugs being made more available will never slow down illegal traders who have no GST to pay, no tax to pay and who have all the access to buyers already. They also will claim to have the best and most locally available produce for sale. If no good product is for sale on any given day they will suggest the buyers purchase P or something that is available.

Being that I don't do drugs, I would just like the odd warning for the occasional speeding ticket.
