Cull promises 'good news' from stadium meeting

Another extraordinary and non-public meeting about the Forsyth Barr Stadium is set for this Wednesday, but Dunedin Mayor Dave Cull said yesterday the result would be a "good-news story".

"Nobody will complain about this one."

An agenda for the meeting shows it will begin at 9am, the same starting time as the annual plan deliberations.

The subject is "funding contributions to the Forsyth Barr Stadium" and the reason for holding the meeting in private was the possibility of the "disclosure of information for which good reason for withholding exists".

Mr Cull said last night the meeting was "a formality".

"We just have to tick something off."
