Ecosanctuary's fenceposts popular

Nearly half of Orokonui Ecosanctuary's fenceposts have been sold to the public and the Otago Natural History Trust hopes a new fundraising campaign will sell more.

The fenceposts form part of the predator-proof fence around the ecosanctuary.

The new campaign was launched in the Otago Daily Times yesterday.

Ecosanctuary general manager Chris Baillie said the $100 post donations supported maintenance and helped fund ecological restoration, such as tree planting and the return of rare native species.
