Fashion installation at airport

Dunedin Airport chief executive Richard Roberts (centre) discusses a new iD Dunedin Fashion Week installation at the airport with Otago Polytechnic academic leader of fashion Margo Barton, as Otago Museum head of exhibitions and creative services Craig Scott looks on.

Re: Emerging, timed for iD Dunedin Fashion Week, was unveiled yesterday.

A collaboration between iD fashion, the polytechnic and museum, the installation includes outfits designed by alumni of iD International Emerging Designer Shows.

Yet another stale idea from the brain trust! Although, it does hide the empty space made available from merchants leaving the airport. Again, Christchurch is cheaper and has more options. More brilliant ideas from Roberts and the board; well worth the $750K salary the DCC pays them. Standing ovation anyone?

Above the Rangitata, are you?

These 'merchants' leaving the Airport: what are they hawking?

Dr Margo Barton is involved with the installation, so don't rush to judgement. While it is true that Christchurch dames look better in anything, the Southern designs are Art.
