The fellowship rewards a teacher for their contribution to the school and provides them with an opportunity of extended professional development up to the value of $20,000.
Candidates are nominated across a range of departments and co-curricular activities.
Mrs Boomer (46) is the school's International Student Dean and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programme head.
She hopes to use the fellowship next year to develop her language teaching experience.
''I would like to do some volunteer work somewhere in a developing country - maybe volunteer teaching, something that involves languages as well - to help my languages.
''So maybe a French-speaking country where they learn English, like somewhere in Africa.''
Mrs Boomer was humble about winning the award, saying hearing her name announced was a huge surprise.
''There's a lot of people who work very, very hard for this school. I feel very privileged to receive it.''
