The Fortune Theatre has released its "bold" programme for the 2017 season in Dunedin.
Theatre artistic director Jonathon Hendry presented the line-up this week.
Mr Hendry was "excited" about the programme, the first full season he has created since joining the theatre last year. The 2017 season includes:

● April marks playwright Roger Hall’s 40-year association with the theatre. The celebration includes his comedy Last Legs — a co-production between the Fortune and the Circa Theatre, of Wellington.
● The theatre collaborates with the University of Otago for the Shakespeare play Twelfth Night in July.
● The musical Into The Woods by Stephen Sondheim opens in August.
● Punk-rock musical That Bloody Woman has a season in September.
● The world premiere of Ellie Smith’s comedy One Perfect Moment opens in October and then tours Otago and Southland.
● The season closes with Hudson & Halls Live! By Kip Chapman with Todd Emerson and Sophie Roberts in November.
● The season included three shows in the school holidays: Rumpelstiltskin, Little Red Riding Hood and What You Will.
