An announcement about the future of the Fortune Theatre's operations is expected today after the theatre's board met last night.
The theatre's creative manager resigned last week and a full board meeting was called for last night before a decision was made about the future of the position.
After the meeting, Fortune Theatre chairman Robert Aitken said he would not discuss the outcome before speaking to staff this morning.
However, the meeting had been constructive and decisions were made about the "future going forward", which the board was "really excited" about.
A public meeting to be held in the Fortune Studio at 5pm today would be an opportunity for the board to clarify for the public the direction it was heading and a chance for people to give their feedback, Mr Aitken said.
