For more than 30 years, the annual ball has encouraged people to dress in Victorian-period evening attire, soak up the historic atmosphere of the restored Larnach Castle ballroom and dance the night away.
About 135 people attended, and $1000 from ticket sales will be given to a charity on the Otago Peninsula.
