Dunedin brewer Arc Brewing Co won the people’s choice award at last night’s Otago Hospitality Awards in Dunedin.

Presented by the Restaurant Association of New Zealand, the awards acknowledge the outstanding hospitality professionals and businesses in the region.

Association chief executive Marisa Bidois said that as hospitality started to recover after a few challenging years, it was encouraging to see long-established hospitality attractions joined by new and emerging venues.

‘‘The awards give us an opportunity to promote the local hospitality community, bringing people together to recognise our achievements in what continues to be unpredictable times.’’

Arc, situated in Evansdale, north of Dunedin, also won the award for best regional establishment.
