Hundreds braved the bitter cold today to take part in the Agnew St party, an event some students have dubbed "Hyde St's ugly stepsister".

People dressed in costumes from Teletubbies to cowboys were roaming the student quarter from the early hours this morning.

Despite saying earlier that party goers had been generally well behaved,  police responded to reports of about 20 students seen climbing over a construction fence at the Dundas St bridge at about 12.40pm.

No arrests were made.

Ambulance crews were also been kept busy with a number of callouts to the party, though St John wouldn't confirm whether they were drug or alcohol related.

Apart from a few hardy stragglers, most people had left the infamous party by about 3pm.
