The aquatic attraction closed on June 23 for upgrades as part of a $25 million refurbishment of the facility.
Council parks and recreation group manager Heath Ellis said the hydroslides were expected to reopen by mid-December.
Workers had aimed to minimise disruption for pool users, including by providing alternate activities such as an indoor waterpark, balanced with the need to ensure public safety, he said.
"The public have been understanding about the work needing to be done. We thank all our pool users for their patience as we complete this important work."
Ongoing work at Moana Pool included cleaning the exterior of the hydroslides, refurbishing and patching interior and exterior sections of the slides and the support structure, re-grouting tiles in the exit pool and repairing the access ramp and top enclosure area.
Other improvements include ceiling work, new wall tiles, upgraded family change facilities and changes to plant/equipment areas, Mr Ellis said.
Contractors have also installed new fire alarm and emergency lighting systems and installed a new ceiling in the area between the main pool and the leisure pool.
