Brain Awareness Week co-ordinator Jane Reynolds said the week highlighted the progress and benefits of brain research.
The inflatable was also accompanied by exhibits and displays from local neurological groups, and talks by University of Otago researchers.
At the weekend talks are being held at Otago Museum.
