Enjoying the sunshine and playing her Scottish clarsach (Celtic harp) at the Whare Flat Folk Festival yesterday is Karen Jones, of Wellington, while Victoria Vigenser, of Hawke's Bay, listens.

Numbers attending the four-day festival

at the Waiora Scout Camp are expected to reach more than 700 by the time it finishes tonight.

Mrs Jones, who is performing at the festival with the band Across the Great Divide, said she loved the relaxed atmosphere at the campsite.

``It's just a really chilled-out family atmosphere and the surroundings are stunning - you can't really ask for much better, really.''

More than 50 performances, singing sessions and workshops and many more impromptu sing-alongs have been held during the festival.

Dunedin's own Nadia Reid will perform this afternoon before the festival finishes with a variety concert tonight.
