Museum focus on children

The Otago Museum has been working with a group associated with Deaf Aotearoa New Zealand to provide an education programme for 30 hearing-impaired children.

The programme, for children aged 3 to 13, will include a trip to the museum Planetarium, Discovery World and the Tropical Forest, museum director Dr Ian Griffin said in a recent report.

A science show will also be presented by Discovery World co-ordinator Amadeo Enriquez-Ballestero.

School sleepovers would not be held at the museum in terms three and four because of redevelopment work at Discovery World, and the Tropical Forest, the report said.
