Dunedin event manager and entertainer Doug Kamo has been appointed chief executive of the Otago Boys High School Foundation.
Mr Kamo (39) has worked in corporate entertainment, marketing, theatre production and as a Lotto presenter.
"Over a 20-year period he has amassed a diverse range of skills and experience that will hold him in good stead heading into his new role," a foundation spokesman said.
Mr Kamo lives in Dunedin with his wife and 10-month-old daughter.
He replaces Steve Davie, who ended a five-year term last week.
The foundation was formed in June 2005 to help the school with special projects.
It has attracted $1.2 million in pledges and donations so far.
