London Street’s uphill lane was blocked for some time yesterday after a two-car crash at the intersection with Stuart St, in Dunedin.

Fortunately no-one was seriously hurt in the 1.11pm crash yesterday, a police spokeswoman said.

Both cars had to be towed away.

The uphill lane of London St was effectively blocked for some time afterwards.

Firefighters helped keep the crash site safe, assisting with traffic control and cleaning up broken glass, a Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said.

Comments

What it doesn't show is several little children and carers sitting in shock on the side of the road. Somebody went through a red light again. Happens too often in Dunedin. On this corner particularly.
