Yesterday, the Tomahawk community launched their first-ever car boot sale, which was held at the Grants Braes Football Club.
Organiser Danielle Culling said it was a great opportunity for stallholders to "spring clean".
"We set up a community page on social media, and we were surprised how quickly it came together. This is as much a chance to socialise with people you have not seen in a while as it is a sale."
There were about 30 stallholders selling everything from used clothing to ride-on toy dinosaurs.
Stall-holder Joanne Johnston said she hoped as many people as possible bought the items.
"There’s so much stuff I had to get rid of.
"I'm a hoarder and I come from a long line of hoarders — so to see all these items laid out here is quite a relief."
Alison Devlin was mostly selling toys and other ephemera which belonged to her son Finn Devlin.
"We want to get rid of as much as possible and hopefully have some Christmas money tucked away."
She was, however, not sure whether anyone would buy her son’s golf ball collection.
"I don't know how that all started."
Proceeds from the sales went to the Grants Braes Football Club.
Ms Culling said it was the busiest day for the Tomahawk community in years.
