Work continues on the demolition of Oamaru House on Hanover St. The building used to accommodate people from out of town when they were visiting or were patients at the nearby Dunedin Hospital. It sits on land owned by Foodstuffs South Island, which owns nearby New World Centre City.
The central Dunedin supermarket plans to use the site for more parking. It is also building a ramp to link its underground carpark with nearby Great King St. Foodstuffs South Island did not reply when asked about a time frame for the completion of the alterations.
