Emergency services inspected the scene of an accident after a pedestrian was hit by a car at the intersection of Moray Pl and George St yesterday morning.

A woman, aged in her 40s, was taken to Dunedin Hospital's emergency department with moderate injuries following the incident at 10.21am, a St John spokesman said. A police spokeswoman said officers were still investigating, so no charges had yet been laid.
