A man with a knife was seen acting suspiciously in Ravensbourne Tuesday morning before fleeing police.

A police spokeswoman said they called to reports of a man "behaving suspiciously” in Ocean View Rd, off Adderley Tce, in Ravensbourne at about 10.10am. 

The person then took off on foot, but police were able to set up cordons that stretched down to Ravensbourne Rd (SH88), also stopping trains. 

The man, who was in possession of a knife, was arrested a short time later, the spokeswoman said.
