A police pursuit in Dunedin ended on Sunday night when a man drove into a bus depot from which there was no escape.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen, of Dunedin, said the driver was allegedly travelling at more than 100kmh on State Highway 1 when he passed a police patrol car.
The man failed to stop for police and the pursuit was abandoned near Fairfield, Snr Sgt Dinnissen said.
Shortly after, the man was seen by a police in Andersons Bay, who again gave chase.

That pursuit ended in the Go Bus Depot in Princes St, where officers arrested the 32-year-old driver of the light-coloured Nissan 350Z.
There was no word yet on charges.
