Electricity has been restored after about 700 properties in Dunedin were hit with a power cut this evening.
According to the Aurora Energy website, the unplanned outage hit households and businesses in Caversham, Balaclava, Calton Hill, Forbury and Kew.
677 customers were reportedly affected by the outage, which was first reported at 7.52pm.
Power was restored to all customers by about 9.15pm.
