A protest will be held at St Clair Beach in Dunedin today to "un-welcome" oil company Anadarko from Dunedin.
The company is set to start deep-sea oil and gas exploration off Otago's coast in 2013.
Protest organiser Niamh O'Flynn, from Oil Free Otago, said a letter from the Otago Chamber of Commerce, printed in the Otago Daily Times this week, welcoming the company did not reflect the views of many in Dunedin.
She expected about 100 to attend the protest to be held at 12.30pm.
