A $300,000 project to resurface State Highway 88 between Dunedin and Ravensbourne is due to begin tomorrow and finish by December 18.
The New Zealand Transport Agency expects no major traffic disruptions.
Work will be from 100m east of the Parry St roundabout to the Ravensdown fertiliser works.
NZTA Otago/Southland highway manager Ian Duncan said work was scheduled for between 7am and 7pm tomorrow and Sunday, partly because no cruise-ship visits were scheduled then.
From Monday, contractors would work between 6pm and 6am until the job was finished, he said.
