Art tackles rugby in the latest exhibition at the Blue Oyster Project Art Space.
"Play Off" features responses from three artists to New Zealand's national game.
The exhibition is part of the Real New Zealand Festival, which is promoting local culture in the buildup to the Rugby World Cup.
"Art can provide a medium to take a look at ourselves and the things that are important to us, from another angle," gallery director Jamie Hanton said yesterday.
The exhibition includes Pillar Series and When I Grow Up, by Dunedin School of Art sculpture lecturer Scott Eady, Finn McCarthy and Kirby, by Unitec Institute of Technology photography teacher Edith Amituanai, and an untitled installation by Christchurch sculptor James Oram.
"Play Off" is on at the Blue Oyster until October 1.
