One person was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries after a vehicle crashed down a bank in Dunedin on Saturday morning.
The accident happened in Leckhampton Court near Maryhill Tce in the Clyde Hill area about 9.25am.
The person was trapped for a time in the vehicle, which was upside down and not visible from the road.
A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said fire crews from Dunedin and Lookout Point worked to extricate the person from the vehicle, bringing them up to the road in a Stokes basket.
