Traffic was delayed almost two hours yesterday when a truck travelling along Andersons Bay Rd spilled its load.
A police spokeswoman said police were notified at 2.25pm about the incident in which sand was believed to have been spilled on the corner of Cumberland St and Andersons Bay Rd.
The NZ Transport Agency said road users were advised to expect delays of up to 30 minutes at the time, but the warning was lifted at 4.43pm after the road was cleared.
