Trailer overturns on motorway

Traffic on the Southern Motorway was disrupted briefly yesterday when a trailer overturned and spilt firewood across the southbound lanes near Green Island.

A police communications spokeswoman said the incident happened about 1.20pm and police were called to manage the flow of traffic. No-one was injured.
