Vehicles interfered with

Vehicles parked in Kaikorai Valley, Dunedin, have been targeted in the latest spate of crime in the Dunedin suburb.

Petrol flaps on vehicles parked at a garage door retailer and a rental firm were tampered with in the latest incidents, Senior Sergeant Phil McDouall said.

This week, the Otago Daily Times reported Pasta d'Oro and Midway Motors, both in Kaikorai Valley Rd, were targeted by burglars.

Police were also continuing to investigate property burglaries in Fairfield and commercial burglaries in Mornington.

Snr Sgt McDouall said there had also been five reported burglaries of houses in St Clair Close, Corstorphine, over a short period.

People were urged to report any suspicious behaviour to police immediately.

Police were also investigating after an attempt to jemmy the door of a Mobil petrol station in Anzac Ave.

Tools were also taken from a basement garage in Cockerell St, Brockville.

Anyone with information about the incidents was asked to contact Dunedin police on 471-4800, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
